Ayoconnect Collaborates with 92 Local Governments in Digitalization of Payments

The increased understanding of local governments about digital is a growth opportunity for technology startups to enter the government market and help them develop.
Co-Founder & COO Ayoconnect Chiragh Kirpalani said local governments (pemda) have a good vision with digitization and have made digitizing payments their priority agenda.
To encourage Ayoconnect's penetration in local governments, said Chiragh, the company launched a solution that allows local governments to receive tax payments from their citizens more quickly. This solution was just launched this month and received a positive response from dozens of district/city governments.
"Ayoconnect has just partnered with the local government to handle the payment of Land and Building Tax (PBB) and Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) in 92 districts and cities," Chiragh told Bisnis.com, Wednesday (26/8/2020).
He acknowledged that although the solutions given received a positive response, to enter the government market there were a number of challenges. Local governments generally do not know where to start and who are the right partners to carry out the digitization agenda.
Some local governments even spend more than necessary to build the technology needed.
"Whereas a company like Ayoconnect already has an existing infrastructure that is ready to carry out the digitization agenda in no time," said Chiragh. He also added that the company this year is on track to pursue a payment transaction target of Rp 100 trillion per year through the Ayoconnect network.
