The Customer Marketing Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience using various customer success and customer relationship management techniques. Their mission is to delight and engage customers to ultimately build a community of brand advocates.

Customer marketers create value by increasing customer advocacy (including referrals, testimonials, references, etc.), identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities, and increasing loyalty and retention.

They are effectively human bridges who act as a liaison between customers and the rest of the organization.

  • Build rapport with customers to increase renewals, referrals, and cross-sell and upsell opportunities.

  • Lead and manage customer engagement programs such as onboarding and ongoing nurture campaigns.

  • Work with the Events & Community manager to develop in-person/virtual events, workshops, annual conferences, awards programs for customer engagement.

  • Connect with customers to ensure continued education and success throughout the relationship lifecycle.

  • Identify key customers and success stories that can be leveraged in content marketing.

  • Work with Content Marketing manager to create and manage a library of up-to-date customer success stories.

  • Manage process to gather regular feedback from customers and provide insights to the the organization (esp for the Sales and Product Management team).

Job Description

  • 3+ years of experience working in communications, marketing, account management or customer success.

  • Strong passion for serving and understanding customers.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to nurture customer relationships and work with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience creating and executing marketing campaigns and programs that drive customer engagement and advocacy.

  • Strong writer and content creator with solid understanding of creative marketing.

  • A strategic thinker and problem solver that can see beyond the day-to-day grind to help improve the customer experience.

  • Analytical skills to determine marketing effectiveness and ROI of customer engagement efforts.
